Sue has lived in Fairfield for 20 years, where she and her husband Patrick raised their four children. She has served on a wide range of Fairfield boards and committees, demonstrating her ability to make significant change in a collaborative way. These committees include: The Board of Health, Cooperative Education Services, and the League of Women Voters.
Sue is a current elected School Board member and past chairman, as well as a former Tomlinson PTA President. As PTA President, she used her healthcare and environmental knowledge to protect students and staff during an occupied renovation.
Her devotion to the children and community earned her the Deanna O. Kiernan Award in 2011, which is awarded to a past or present PTA member that has proven to be a key volunteer in Fairfield Public Schools and has made a system wide contribution to further education in Fairfield.
As an advocate in Hartford, Sue said she would initiate and support legislation that, clears the way for job growth in Connecticut, builds our infrastructure, educates our students for the jobs of the future, and addresses health care costs while maintaining quality care.
Sue graduated Cum Laude from Quinnipiac College with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing, and worked as a cardiac intensive care nurse for 10 years.
